ChinaNanomedicine 2026

Bengt Fadeel from our partner Karolinska Institutet, joined leading researchers at the 6th International Conference on Nanomedicine – ChinaNanomedicine 2026, held in Chengdu, China, from 27–29 August 2026. In his lecture, “Interactions of Nanomaterials and Other Advanced Materials with the Innate Immune System,” Bengt explored how advanced materials interact with the body’s first line of defence—an important factor in developing safer and more effective nanomedicine solutions.
The conference was organised by the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. During his visit, Bengt also toured the National Facility for Translational Medicine, hosted by Professor Xiawei Wei.
By connecting cutting-edge research with translational expertise, the event highlighted the importance of international collaboration in shaping the future of nanomedicine.
