On 28 May 2026, the BactEradiX team at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna took part in a special scientific day dedicated to the importance of a global vision for research and to the new frontiers of chemistry. The programme combined the Master Lecture “A Global Mind for Discovery” with the workshop “Precision Chemistry for a Sustainable Planet,” featuring the 2025 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Prof. Omar Yaghi (University of California, Berkeley), alongside Prof. Laura Gagliardi (University of Chicago) and Prof. Hexiang Deng (Wuhan University).

Held in the Aula Magna of the Navile Campus, the workshop offered stimulating insights into reticular chemistry and Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs), highlighting their potential in areas such as drug delivery and sustainable resource management. For BactEradiX, the event was an opportunity to connect its research on advanced antimicrobial nanomaterials with a broader, global vision of chemistry as a driver of sustainability, health and equity worldwide.
