BactEradiX’s contribution to European Researchers’ Night
Month: September 2025
26th September 2025
Our BactEradiX partners UNIBO and UNIPR, took part in the European Researchers’ Night in Bologna on 26 September, inviting researchers of all ages to explore the fascinating world of bacteria. Through engaging and simple activities, BactEradiX researchers captivated both young and old, explaining the complex world of microbes in an accessible way.
They also presented how the BactEradiX project aims to defeat drug-resistant bacteria, offering hope for innovative solutions to antimicrobial resistance. The event was a wonderful opportunity to inspire curiosity and raise awareness of cutting-edge research impacting our health and future.

UNIPG and BIORIDIS at 53° Congresso della Società Italiana di Microbiologia
UNIPG and BIORIDIS present novel MRSA biofilm model at 53° Congresso della Società Italiana di Microbiologia
19th – 22nd September 2025
BactEradiX teams UNIPG and BIORIDIS recently presented a poster titled “Development of an in vitro model of DNase-resistant methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) biofilm reveals Z-DNA enrichment” at the 53rd Congresso della Società Italiana di Microbiologia, held from September 19 to 22, 2025, in the beautiful setting of the University of Catania. This research advances understanding of MRSA biofilm resistance mechanisms, contributing to the project’s goal of developing innovative antimicrobial nanomaterials targeting biofilm-associated infections.

BactEradiX partner Bengt Fadeel attends ChinaNano 2025 in Beijing
Month: September 2025
30th August – 1st September 2025
BactEradiX partner, Bengt Fadeel, had recently the privilege to attend the ChinaNano 2025 meeting held in Beijing, where he delivered a keynote lecture. On this occasion, his host, Prof. Yuliang Zhao, presented Bengt with a commemorative plaque. During his visit, Bengt also gave a seminar at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in Beijing.
